When you have a cut in your gum, it is not a good idea to clean said cut with your prescription mouthwash.
Is it an antiseptic mouthwash? Great idea to use one if there’s an open wound.

You can also rinse with a mild saltwater solution… which will probably sting a bit as well.
Nah, saltwater wouldn’t sting unless there was a LOT of salt in it, and you’re only supposed to use a little.
Wait, why would that be a bad idea? It successfully cleans the cut, right?
On a similar note, high alchohol mouthwash + chapped lips =/= fun.
