Learn From My Fail

The Motivational Mother

Remember that that friend you're trying to get ahold of? Yeah, she gave you her mom's number cause she doesn't have a cell phone. Remember this when you text her to come sit by you in the hallway cause you're lonely. It'll get awkward when she says she's your friends mom but tells you to have a "super" day. #LFMF

I have a feeling that the fail here is that it took for someone to say “have a super day” to make you feel awkward.

    • ... says:

No. It’s awkwardly worded, but the fact that it was sent to the friend’s mom is what made OP feel awkward.

I was just expressing my own opinion, but even if we do analyze the post- it clearly said that the situation got awkward when the receiver of the text message, after having identified herself as the friend’s mom, told OP to have a “super” day- and he even took special care to put “super” between quotation marks, to emphasize it as what caused the awkwardness…

    This doesn’t make any sense.

That’s not a fail. However, posting just so you can say you posted something is.

You now realize that that there are two “that” in the first line.

  5. Patrick says:

No, I don’t remember that friend I was trying to get ahold of. Nor would any friend of mine give me their mother’s number in order to contact them. Thus, there is nothing I can learn from this fail.

    • me says:

Here’s one: If ever a girl DOES give you her mother’s number, be more persistent about contacting them than if it was their phone. The mom may not be passing on the messages, and more reminders may be necessary. I once lost a smoking babe cause after leaving 2 or 3 messages in a week, none of which she received, she thought I wasn’t interested and moved on.
